Make Your Own Kimchi

    Do you want to learn how to make kimchi from scratch? Create a flavourful and healthy condiment packed with acidity, saltiness, umami and heat, and keep your vegetables going all winter long?

    Kimchi is a fermentation style with origins in Korea, and during this course you learn how to make your own at home. We go through the basics of fermentation, which ingredients and spices can be used, how to get the right bacteria into the jars and why kimchi is so good for you. The course is hands-on from the start and everyone makes their own jars, while working together in a social and relaxed atmosphere.

    The course suits both complete beginners and those already familiar with fermentation who want to deepen their knowledge. Each participant makes three different varieties of kimchi to take home, ferment and enjoy.

    The course includes knowledge, jars, vegetables and plenty of inspiration.
